I just came back from an intense, month-long residency at ZKM, Karlsruhe, where I was invited to be part of the artists- in-residence program alongside Cristian Vogel, Alyssa Moxley, MESH and a host of Raster Noton artists to make a composition specifically for the incredible 4D sound system. Additionally, there were presentations of landmark works by Edgar Varèse and Iannis Xenakis. More info can be found here.

Ina is a great choreographer and has worked extensively with here own dance company called “Zero Visibility” – I recommend you to check it out : she makes very inspiring and original work.

Ill Fares the Land has been featured on Fact Magazine’s “10 releases we missed in 2014”, with some very praiseful words :
“Koenraad Ecker’s Digitalis debut was that rarest of things – a drone / doom record that’s genuinely unpredictable and free of cliche. Brutally physical at times (benefited by some particularly sharp mixing and mastering), it’s nothing for Ill Fares The Land to pull complete 180s on the listener: from wobbling pads, scrapes and processed cello to hydraulic bass patterns in the blink of an eye.”
I’m very proud to announce that I’ll be releasing my second solo effort on Richard Chartier’s LINE imprint, joining the likes of Alva Noto, William Basinski, Mark Fell and Frank Bretschneider. The album, entitled “Sleepwalkers in a cold circus” will be released in february 2015, with artwork by Alison Darby and mastered by Rashad Becker. More info soon…
